Noble Argus Foundation Named Military Community Partner for 2013 Army Ten-Miler

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Noble Argus Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, has been named a Military Community Partner for the 2013 Army Ten-Miler on October 20, 2013 in Washington, DC. 

The foundation, created to help ease the financial burden that soaring educational costs place on the families of our military’s elite warriors, provides financial assistance for education to the children and spouses of past and present Special Operations Community members. 

In addition to raising awareness of the foundation's Annual Scholarship and Extraordinary Life Events Programs, the group will sponsor a team for this year's race. The foundation has 25 charity bids available for qualified runners. Runners on Team Noble Argus will be asked to raise a minimum of $500 to participate.

About the Army Ten-Miler and the Military District of Washington

The Army Ten-Miler is produced by the Military District of Washington (MDW). The MDW serves as the Army Forces Component and core staff element of the Joint Force Headquarters National Capital Region to conduct operations that  deter, prevent, and respond to threats aimed at the National Capital Region; and conducts world-class ceremonial, musical and special events in support of our Nation's leadership. Over 600 Soldiers from 3rd Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) volunteer race weekend.

Now in its 29th year, the Army Ten-Miler is held each October in Washington, DC. Registration fees and sponsor contributions go to support the Army Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) programs.

The mission of the Army Ten-Miler is to promote the Army, build espirit de corps, support Army fitness goals, and enhance community relations.
