D.C. - The Noble
Argus Foundation is proud to announce our 2013 Holiday Fundraising Drive. This year, we are raising funds to help the one year-old daughter of a Green Beret. Her name is Aizlynn and she has been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1, a rare neurological disorder.
Because of her condition, she is unable to sit in a normal infant car seat and must be lying down while traveling. Since her diagnosis, Aizlynn has only been out her house a few times because of the difficulty associated with transporting her. It takes Aizlynnís mother an hour to get her and her older sister securely in the car just to run simple errands while her husband is deployed, which is approximately six months during the year.
Earlier this year, her mother started an online campaign to raise money for a special van costing $20,000. The Board of Directors has already committed $5000 to this worthy cause and weíre using our annual Holiday Fundraising Drive to help get Aizlynnís family closer to their goal. In this season of giving, please consider making a contribution of $25, $50, $100 or whatever you can give to help this special young girl and her family.
